The background is digital paper purchased through Etsy.  The sentiment is computer generated and sized to fit my card. The bumble bee and honey combs are from the Silhouette Store.  The banner and top of bee are mounted with foam tape.

The chicken image is also from Etsy.  Grass image is from the Silhouette Store.  The chicken, grass and sentiment banner are mounted with foam tape.  I use twine to tie a bow (purchased at Walmart / Friendship twine found in children's craft section).

Fun in the Sun

I love summer-time.  So, I was especially glad when I saw our challenge this go-round at Cards in Envy was called "Fun in the Sun."  I choose to make my A2 card with an underwater scene.

Fish and wave images are SVG cuts via Miss Kate's Cuttables.  I added the faux white stitching along the top of the waves.  Background paper was a fortunate polka-dot that matched my theme.  Green and Yellow fish are mounted with foam tape.

Graduation Card

Hello, Friends!  Time for Graduation Cards!  Here's a simple graduation card made using triangles, circles and squares.

A2 sized card = 5.5" x 4.25"

• Mat 1 = 5.5" x 4.25" rectangle color filled with yellow & white polka dots.
• Mat 2 = 5.25" x 4" rectangle color filled with blue
• Mat 3 = 2.75" x 3.75" triangle (just draw three straight lines and group).  Color filled with yellow & white polka dots.
• Mat 4 = 2.5" x 3.385" triangle color filled with blue.
• Mat 5 = 2.245" x 3" triangle color filled with yellow & white polka dots.
• Mat 6 = three .185" circles color filled with blue.

• Mat 7 = four .65" squares color filled with yellow & white polka dots.  The squares were grouped together and mounted with foam tape.
• Mat 8 = "2014" text .47" and color filled with blue.  
• Mat 9 = graduation hat and ribbon.  Image found online and was traced within Silhouette program.  Cap is mounted with foam tape.
• Accents = Stickles on three circles.  Blue bow attached with glue.

• Three layers :  blue, yellow & white polka dots and white, each .25" smaller than next larger one.  Sized at 5" x 3.75".  
• Cap = same as front of card, sized at .94"
• Text = "Congratulations!"  sized at .3"

Hoot Owl Birthday Card

Hello, Friends!  Welcome to another Cards in Envy challenge.  This time we are creating cards using the theme "Winged Things."  My card uses an owl from Miss Kate's Cuttables.

A2 sized card = 5.5" x 4.25"

Owl, clouds and branch images are from Miss Kate's Cuttables.  I imported the .PNG formatted image into my Silhouette and created an Print and Cut version.  The layered paper colors were created by matching the colors on the owl.

Graduation Cards for the New Chef

Hello, Friends!  Excitement in our family as my granddaughter Rachel graduated from Pastry School.  She was definitely the cutest little chef in the graduation ceremony!  So very proud of her.

Grasshopper Greetings

Hello, Friends.  The challenge this month with Our Daily Bread is to create a card with an insect.  I chose to create a card with this cute grasshopper from Miss Kate's Cuttables.

A2 Sized Card = 5.5" x 4.25"

• Grasshopper image from Miss Kate's Cuttable's.  Grasshopper cut 3 times to create a chipboard effect.  Edges inked with blue chalk ink.
• Paper colors from Doodle Pantry.

• Flower from Mauvy punch.  Center has Liquid Pearls.

Hello, Friends!  Looks like the characters from the movie Frozen are everywhere.  I have to admit that I haven't seen the movie yet; but I love the little Olaf character.   So, I'm jumping on the bandwagon and creating an Olaf love card.

Olaf was cut 3 times to create a chipboard effect

Sentiment was printed onto paper before cutting and embossing

Hello, Friends!  There's a new challenge over at Cards in Envy.  Our theme is "Anything Goes" - as long as you create a flat A2 sized card.

A2 sized card = 5.5" x 4.25"

Card Recipe:

• Mat 1 (black) = 5.5" x 4.25"
• Mat 2 (brown pattern) = 5.25" x 4"
• Mat 3 (brown border) = .75" x 4"
• Mat 4 (yellow pattern) = 4" x 3"

• Praying Hands = original artwork idea was mine.  I used a graphic artist to take it to this design.  Image mounted with foam tape.
• iPray text = same font as used by iPhone.

Inside of Card:

• Mat 1 (black) = 5" x 3.75"
• Mat 2 (brown pattern) = 4.75" x 3.5"
• Mat 3 (white) = 4.5" x 3.25"
• Praying Hands = same as above

Hello, Friends!  A new challenge at Cards in Envy - Think Green.  We are challenged to create a flat A2 sized card that features the color Green!

A2 sized card = 5.5" x 4.25"

Card Recipe:

• Mat 1 (black) = 5.5" x 4.25".  White faux stitching was added around the border.
• Mat 2 (light green pattern) = 4" x 5".
• Mat 3 (black border) = 4" x 3".
• Mat 4 (dark green border) = 4" x 2.75".
• Mat 5 (green pattern circle) = 3.325"
• Green M&M = traced from online image.  Sized at 3" x 3.5".  White offset added.  Image mounted with foam tape.

• Sentiment = from Doodle Pantry
• Small M&Ms = .28" circles.  Letter "m" is Arial font.

Inside of Card:

• Mat 1 (black) = 5" x 3.75"
• Mat 2 (green pattern) = 4.75" x 3.5"
• Mat 3 (white) = 4.5" x 3.25"
• Green M&M = traced from online image.  Sized at .75" x .885"

• Mat 2 (black border) = .5" x 4.25"
• Mat 3 (red) = 3.5" x 4.5"
• Mat 4 (light blue) = 2" x 3"
• Mat 5 (darker blue) = 2" x 3"
• Mat 6 (brown oval) = .2 x 2.8"

• Mickey & Minnie with Hearts = sized at 1.63" x 2".  Image from Silhouette.
