The Big 40

I created this 40th Birthday Card for a co-worker in my office.  The images on this card came from the Cricut Life's a Party cartridge.

Card Recipe:

• Mat 1 (blue pattern) = 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".  Edges inked with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink.
• Mat 2 (yellow pattern fence border) = 2" x 5 1/4" before punching with Martha Stewart punch.
• Over the Hill = cut image and layers at 4" from Cricut Life's a Party cartridge; [OverHill] found on page 48 of the folder.
• The Big 40 = cut image and layers at 2.5" from Cricut Life's a Party cartridge; [OverHill] [Phrase] found on page 48 of the folder.

 



• The "The Big 40" image is mounted on two more of the same image cut out of beige card stock.  It made the image stand out more and created a chipboard effect.
• White gel pen used for stitching around images.
• Stickles used for candle flames.

• Mat 2 (beige) = 5" x 3.75".

•  Candles (green) = these are the cut outs from the Over the Hill image on front of the card.

• Mat 2 (darker blue) = 4.75 x 3.5".
• Mat 3 (striped pattern) = 4.5" x 3.25".  Paper from My Mind's Eye Party Time pack.  Edges inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.
• Mat 4 (blue border) = 4" x 1.5".
• Circle Mat (stars and red shadow) = cut at 3" from Cricut Accent Essentials; found on page 34 of folder.  Pattern paper from My Mind's Eye Party Time pack. Edges inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.  Mat mounted with foam tape.
• Alien in Space Ship = cut at 2.5" from Cricut Life's a Party; found on page 25 of the folder.  Silver bling added to create "button controls" are from Imaginisce.  Eyes of alien are Liquid Pearls.
• Stars = cut at .75 and .50 inches from Cricut Accent Essentials; found on page 65 of folder.
• Sentiment "May all your Wishes come true!" = from Scrappy Mom's Hooray for Birthdays stamp set.

Teddy Bear Parade - Queen

Shape card - fits into an A2 size envelope.

Created using Cricut Craft Room to merge images together.

Mat 1 (green) = 2" x 5.50".  Mat is embossed using Cuttlebug Divine Swirls folder.

Bear and Outfit = cut at 3" using Teddy Bear Parade Cricut Lite cartridge; <QueenHrt>

Castle = cut at 3.75" using Life's a Party Cricut cartridge; <Castle1>, page 22 of folder.

Stickles has been applied to Bear and Outfit.  Black pen used to create stitching on castle.

Sentiment = CardzTV stamp set "Beary Sweet."   Mat under sentiment cut to sentiment size.

Card made using Life's a Party & Best Friends Imagine cartridges.   Monkey cut at 3 inches from Life's a Party using Best Friends Imagine colors.  Background is embossed using Indentz Vine #1 folder.  Leaves are from a punch.

Inside of card.  Sentiment from My Pink Stamper "More Punny-licious" stamp set.

Happy 60th Birthday

A2 sized card.  Paper colors are from Cricut Imagine More Cards.  Vulture from Cricut Life's a Party (cut at 3.2 inches).  Balloons are from a MS punch.  Twine used for balloon strings.  Jute used for branch that the vulture is perched on.

Accented with stickles :  gold and silver used on vulture.   Liquid Pearls used on the three balloons.   Pearl accents below balloons are from Michaels.
