Cards in Envy - Say What?

Hello, friends!  Welcome to another Cards in Envy challenge.  This week our challenge is to create a card that uses a sentiment, poem or quote as the MAIN element on your card instead of an image.

  • Cricut Cartridge:  Pretty Pennants
  • Designer Paper:  My Mind's Eye "Reunion"
  • Sentiment:  CardzTV "Greater Love"
  • Sketch:  OWH Sketch #191

A2 sized card = 5.5" x 4.25"
Cricut Pretty Pennants cartridge

Card Recipe:
  • Mat 1 (black) = 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".
  • Mat 2 (light green pattern) = 5.25" x 4".
  • Mat 3 (black border) = 1 5/8" x 5 1/8".
  • Mat 4 (redish pattern) = 1.5" x 5".
  • Mat 5 (black) = 4 1/8" x 3 1/8".
  • Mat 6 (darker green pattern) = 4" x 3".

  • Pennant = cut image and shadow at 1.5" x 3.5" from Cricut Pretty Pennants cartridge.
  • Mat 7 (black under sentiment) = 2 5/8" x 2 1/8".
  • Mat 8 (white with sentiment) = 2.5" x 2".  Mat mounted with foam tape.
  • Sentiment = from CardzTV "Greater Love" stamp set.

Inside of Card
Inside of Card:
  • Mat 1 (black) = 5" x 3.75.
  • Mat 2 (redish pattern) = 4.75" x 3.5".
  • Mat 3 (white) = 4.5" x 3.25".

Thank you for joining me today.  I hope you'll also make a card with the sentiment as the main element and post it on the Cards in Envy blog.  Remember your card must be A2 sized (5.5" x 4.25") and is 1/4" or less to fit in an envelope.

As always, comments are welcomed and appreciated!

  1. This is such a wonderful card! I like how you repeated the circles in your patterned papers. And I really love the scalloped border around your banner.
