Old Mailbox

Here's an old mailbox sitting on a wagon wheel.  When I was a youngster, my Dad placed our mailbox on a wagon wheel, too.

Ice Cream Sundae Card

Here's a fun birthday card using an image from the Doodle Pantry.

  • Image:  Digi stamp from Doodle Pantry
  • Designer Paper:  My Mind's Eye "Madison Avenue" 6"x6" pack
  • Sentiment:  Scrappy Mom's "Hooray for Birthdays" stamp set.

  • Mat 1 = 5.25" x 4".
  • Border = printed and cut from Silhouette Cameo. 
  • Scallop = purchased from Silhouette store.  Sarah Hurley design.
  • Circle = 3.25" circle cut from Silhouette Cameo

  • Liquid Applique added and heat embossed to create top of sundae.
  • Stickles added to cherry.

A Little Wave Hello

Hello, Friends.  I created this friendship card for Operation Write Home using their Sketch #200.


A2 sized card = 5.5" x 4.25"
Digi Image from Doodle Pantry
Card Recipe:
  • Mat 1 (white) = 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".  Corners rounded at 1/4".
  • Mat 2 (blue) = 5.25" x 4".  Mat embossed with Cuttlebug "Charles" folder.  Corners rounded at 1/4".
  • Mat 3 (blue border) = 2 1/8" x 5 1/8".  Corners rounded at 1/4".
  • Mat 4 (white border) = 2" x 5".  Mat embossed with Cuttlebug "Spots and Dots" folder.  Corners rounded at 1/4".
  • Mat 5 (white under octopus) = 2 5/8" x 3 5/8".  Corners rounded at 1/4".
  • Mat 6 (blue polka dots under octopus) = 2.5" x 3.5".  Side of mat mounted with foam tape (where it extends from other border).  Corners rounded at 1/4".

  • Octopus = digi image from Doodle Pantry (link above).  Image was fussy cut within Silhouette software.  Edges of water inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.  An extra octopus was cut without the water and mounted on top to give image some depth.
  • Mat 7 (blue polka dot under sentiment) = 7/8" x 2 3/8".  Corners rounded at 1/4".
  • Mat 8 (white under sentiment) = .75" x 2.25".  Side of mat mounted with foam tape (where it extends from other border).  Corners rounded at 1/4".
  • Sentiment = digi image from Doodle Pantry (link above).  Sentiment was printed through Silhouette software to place on white mat.

My Dog Spot

Hello, Friends!  Here's a birthday card featuring "Spot" from the Cricut Paper Pups cartridge.

  • Embossing:  Cuttlebug "Spots and Dots" folder
  • Sentiment:  TPC Studio "Greetings"

A2 sized card = 5.5" x 4.25"

Card Recipe:
  • Mat 1 (black) = 5.25" x 4"
  • Mat 2 (beige) = 4.75" x 3.5"
  • Mat 3 (polka dots) = 4.5" x 3.25"
  • Mat 4 (striped border) = 1.75" x 4".
  • All mats were embossed together using Cuttlebug "Spots and Dots" folder.
  • Sentiment = from TPC Studio "Greetings" stamp set
 
  • Dog = cut at 1.75" from Cricut Paper Pups cartridge; [spot] found on page 94 of the folder.  Image is mounted with foam tape.  The first layer was cut twice, once in black and once in the brown polka dots.  I used the negative parts of the brown polka dots to add to the image.

  • Eyebrows on Oscar = I really didn't card for the paper cut, so I added some tan flock where the eyebrows should be.
  • Trash on ground = hand torn from white card stock.

Go For It!

Hello, friends!  Here is a CAS card I created using the Cricut Going Places cartridge.

  • Inspiration:  Desert Diva
  • Cricut Cartridge:  Going Places and A Child's Year.
  • Designer Paper:  none - just used paper scraps



A2 sized card = 5.5" x 4.25"

Card Recipe:
  • Mat 1 (black) = 5" x 3.75".
  • Mat 2 (white) = 4.75" x 3.5".
  • Stoplight = cut at 2.5" from Cricut Going Places cartridge; [traffclt] found on page 126 of the folder.  The color "lights" were hand cut and glued to the backside.
  • Stoplight Pole = cut at 2.5" from Cricut Going Places cartridge; [domepost] found on page 126 of the folder.  Top of pole was too long for my card, so it was trimmed away.
 

  • Text "Go for it!" = cut at .25" from Cricut A Child's Year cartridge.  I used the Cricut Craft Room to weld the letter together.
