Cards in Envy - Challenge Paper Strips Instead of Ribbon

Cards in Envy Challenge - use paper strips instead of ribbon.

Here is my card:

A2 sized card = 5.5" x 4.25"
Bow Ties from Create a Critter cartridge
I used my Cricut Create a Critter cartridge to create the bow ties.  Here's how I made this card:
  • Mat 1 (checker pattern) = 5.25" x 4".  Paper from DCWV Mainstreet Stack.  Edges of mat inked with Tim Holtz Antique Linen.
  • Mat 2 (solid beige) = 3.25" x 3.25".  Edges of mat inked with Tim Holtz Antique Linen.
  • Mat 3 (light green & tan circle pattern) = 3" x 3".  Paper from DCWV Mainstreet Stack. Edges of mat inked with Tim Holtz Antique Linen.
  • Bow Ties = cut at 2.5" (real dial size) from Cricut Create a Critter cartridge; <Hedgehog><Layer3>; on page 62 of folder.  Edges of bow tie inked with Tim Holtz Antique Linen.  Center of bow tie is glued to card, edges have foam tape under them.  White stitching created with white gel pen.
  • Buttons = from Martha Stewart punch.  The twine on buttons are two different colors (beige and light green) of Friendship Twine (purchased at Walmart in children's craft section.).
  • Mat 4 (maroon strip under sentiment mat) = 4" x .25" (approximately).  White stitching created with white gel pen.
  • Sentiment "Happy Father's Day" = from Hero Arts stamp set.
  • Mat 5 (beige under sentiment) = cut to sentiment size.  Edges have been paper pierced and faux stitching in brown created using a colored pencil.  Edges of mat are inked with Tim Holtz Antique Linen.

    6. Wow, just wow! You really rocked this challenge Marilyn. You are a Cricut master and I bow down to you :) I really should dust my Cricut off a bit and follow a few of your tutorials. That would mean cleaning though which I try to avoid :) LOVE your paper ribbon and bows. Awesome background papers full of texture too. Fabulous job!! ♥ Denise @ Cards in Envy
