Feeling Blue?

If you're feeling blue, try painting yourself a different color.

I like following a Facebook group called "Cards in Envy."  Sandy Trefger posted a sketch from a card she had created and shared it with us.  Using Sandy's sketch, here is my card:

A2 sized card = 5.5" x 4.25".

Card Recipe:
  • Mat 1 = 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".  Paper from My Minds' Eye "Indie Chic" 6x6 pack.  Edges inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.
  • Sentiment Oval = cut image and shadow at 3.25" from Cricut Elegant Edges cartridge; found on page 45 of the folder.  Paper from My Minds' Eye "Indie Chic" 6x6 pack.  Edges inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.
  • Border = cut at 1".  Border punch from Martha Stewart.  Edges inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.
  • Sentiment "If You're Feeling blue - try painting yourself a different COLOR." = from Inkadinkado "You make me smile all over" stamp set.

  • Flowers = from Martha Stewart punch.  Each flower has 4 layers to create a chipboard effect.  Edges inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.  Yellow center of flowers from a gelly pen. 
  • Twine = Friendship Twine purchased at Walmart in children's craft section.

  • Mat 1 (blue) = 5.25" x 4".  White gel pen used to create white lines.
  • Mat 2 (white) = 4.75" x 3.5".
  • Flowers = from Martha Stewart punch.  Edges inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.
