  • Mat 1 (gray) = 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
  • Mat 2 (floral design) = 5.25" x 4"
  • Mat 3 (black) = 4 7/8" x 3 5/8"
  • Mat 4 (gray) = 4.75" x 3.5".  Mat embossed with Cuttlebug "Floral Screen" folder.  Embossing folder was inked with Memento Rich Cocoa before embossing.
  • Border = 1" x 3.5" punched with Martha Stewart Drippy-Goo punch.

  • Raccoon = cut image and shadow at 2.5" from Cricut Animal Kingdom cartridge; [rccoon] found on page 98 of the folder.  Eyes and nose are Liquid Pearls.  Image mounted with foam tape.
  • Pennant = cut image and shadow at 1.5" from Cricut Pretty Pennants cartridge.  Pennant mounted with foam tape.
  • Sentiment = from My Pink Stamper "Punny-licious" stamp set.

Cards in Envy - Say What?

Hello, friends!  Welcome to another Cards in Envy challenge.  This week our challenge is to create a card that uses a sentiment, poem or quote as the MAIN element on your card instead of an image.

  • Mat 5 (black) = 4 1/8" x 3 1/8".
  • Mat 6 (darker green pattern) = 4" x 3".

More Minions

The minions are all the rage right now.  I found a great link via Operation Write Home with directions on making a minion for a card.

Card Recipe:
  • Mat 1 (black) = 5 1/4" x 4". 
  • Mat 2 (pattern) = 5" x 3 3/4"
  • Pennants = cut at 1 1/2" from Cricut Pretty Pennants cartridge.  White gel pen used for faux stitching.  Pole was hand cut from brown shimmer paper.
  • "A" "P" = cut at 1/2" from Cricut  Storybook cartridge.



Minion =
  • Body (yellow) = cut at 1 1/2" x 3".  Round all corners at 1/2".
  • Arms (yellow) = cut two at 1/4" x 1 1/4".
  • Overalls (blue) = cut at 1 1/2" x 1 1/2".  Round bottom corners at 1/2".  Hand trim notches for overall top.
  • Top of Overalls (blue) = cut two at 1/4" x 1 1/4".  Black gems were added for buttons.
  • Legs (blue) = cut two at 5/8" x 3/4".
  • Goggles Strap (black) = cut at 1/4" x 2 1/2".
  • Eyes (gray) = circle punch two at 1/2".  Googly Eyes are glued on top.
  • Hands (black) = cut at 3/4" using real dial size from Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge; [Suprgl][Accessories 2] found on page 57 of the folder.
  • Feet (black) = cut at 3/4"  using real dial size from Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge; [Suprgl][Accessories 1] found on page 57 of the folder.
  • Hair = hand cut from black card stock.
  • Mouth = hand drawn with black pen.

September 2013 Cricut Cart Hop

Enjoy the Simple Pleasures

The chef is cooking up something good.  Looks like the little dog is interested anyway.

  • Mat 1 (black) = 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".
  • Mat 2 (aqua) = 5 1/4" x 4".
  • Mat 3 (black) = 3 3/8" x 4 5/8".
  • Mat 4 (brown pattern) = 3 1/4" x 4 1/2."
 
  • Chef and Dog = cut at 3" from Cricut Imagine Kate's Kitchen.  I cut the dog twice to give him some depth (using the layer feature).  Image is mounted with foam tape.
  • Pennant = cut image and shadow at 2" from Cricut Pretty Pennants cartridge; [Banner2] and [BnrSclp2].
  • Sentiment "Enjoy the Simple Pleasures" = from My Favorite Things "Flopsey Goes Camping" stamp set.

  • Sentiment "You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt": from My Favorite Things "Clearly Sentimental About Gardens" stamp set.

  • Mushroom:  cut at 3" from Cricut Live Simply Lite cartridge: [Mushroom].  Image edges inked with Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink.  Liquid Pearls added to flower centers.  Mushroom attached with foam tape.
  • Bow on Mushroom:  from Martha Stewart punch.  Gem in center of bow from Michaels.

Christmas Wishes

I found a new-to-me challenge called 52 Card Christmas Throwdown.  The challenge this week is to create a Christmas card that includes holly.

Designer Paper:  Recollections "Sugar Plums" 12" x 12".

Sentiment:  Scrappy Mom's "Winter Wishes" stamp set.

MCCR - Festive Flags


Today's challenge at My Cricut Craft Room is to create something with Festive Flags.  Here is my card:

A2 sized card = 5.5" x 4.25".
Cricut Pretty Pennants cartridge
Card Recipe:
  • Mat 1 (blue/white polka dots) = 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".  Edges inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.  Paper from Echo Park "Bundle of Joy Boy."
  • Mat 2 (white) = 4 7/8" x 3 7/8".  Mat embossed with The Paper Studio "Tiny Stars" folder.  Edges inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.



  • Flags = cut at 1.5" from Pretty Pennants cartridge and .  Images mounted with foam tape.  Edges inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.  was cut 3 times for each flag to create a chipboard effect.  Paper from Echo Park "Bundle of Joy Boy."
  • Twine = from The Paper Studio.
  • Brads = from Imaginisce.
  • Sentiment Mat = cut at 1" from Pretty Pennants cartridge .  Edges inked with Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink.
  • Sentiment "Smile" = from TPC Studio "Greetings" stamp set.
