Through the Window

Hello, Friends!  Time for another challenge with Cards in Envy!  This challenge asks us to create a card where part of the design is INSIDE the card but can be seen from the outside "through the window." 

I created this love card using a OWH fund raiser digi stamp from Doodle Pantry.  The heart is cut out creating my window to the inside of the card where you can see a completed heart image.

Card Recipe:

• Mat 1 (green) = 5.5" x 4.25"
• Mat 2 (yellow pattern) = 5.25" x 4"
• Mat 3 (green border) = .75" x 4".

• Elephant = image from Doodle Pantry "With Heart".  Heart has been punched out creating my window.  Image sized at 2.155" x 2.155".
• Sentiment = from Doodle Pantry "With Heart" set.

Snow Buddy Like You!

Welcome to another Cards in Envy Challenge!  For this challenge we are to create an A2 sized card (5.5" x 4.25")  that features one or more snowmen.  Only requirement is that the card is 1/4" or less in thickness in order to fit in an envelope.

Here's is my Snowman card.

• Designer Paper = The Paper Studio "I Believe in Santa" 8.5" x 11" pack.
• Cricut cartridge = Winter Woodland
• Sentiment = CardzTV "Home for Christmas" stamp set.
• Embossing = Cuttlebug "Snowflakes" folder.
• Ribbon = from Michaels
• Punch = Martha Stewart (heart on inside of card).

Card Recipe:

• Mat 1 (red striped) = 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".
• Mat 2 (white) = 5 1/4" x 4".
• Mat 3 (blue border) = 2" x 4".
• Sentiment "All hearts come home for Christmas" = from CardzTV "Home for Christmas" stamp set.  Stamp sentiment before embossing.
• Mats 2 & 3 were embossed together using Cuttlebug "Snowflakes" folder.
• Ribbon = from Michaels.

• Snow Woman = cut at 3 3/4" from Cricut Winter Woodland cartridge; [Snwoman] found on page 47 of the folder.  Eyes were hand drawn onto snow woman's face.  I cut the [Blackout] of the image twice and attached to the image.  This gives the image a chipboard effect.

Happy Birdie

Hello, Friends!  My card today was created using a digi stamp from DoodlePantry called "Happy Birdie".  This card will be added to my box of cards going to Operation Write Home.

Image, Designer Paper and Sentiment = from Doodle Pantry
Musical Notes = from Silhouette store
Other:  Tim Holtz Faded Blue Jean Distress Ink.

• Mat 1 (colors already divided evenly from Doodle Pantry) = 5.5" x 4.25"
• Mat 2 (blue border) = .75" x 5.5"
• Sentiment = from Doodle Pantry.  Sized at 0.650" x 1.145".
• Musical Notes = from Silhouette store.  Sized at 0.5" x 0.555".

• Birdie = from DoodlePantry.  Sized at 2.715" x 3.040".  White dashed lines created using internal offset feature in Silhouette software.  Two copies of the birdie and attached (one on top of other) to create a more "chipboard" effect.  Edges inked with Tim Holtz Faded Blue Jeans Distress Ink.
